With most of her photographic life devoted to capturing portraits and landscapes, as an adjunct to her career in media and communications, Zella has moved from the specific to the abstract, stretching natural light, telephoto lens and film grain to elicit emotion over fact and a kind of voyeuristic intimacy with nature and moment. This is her debut as an artist with a first edition series of large-scale prints mounted on plexiglass.
