PULSE New York
will take place
at Pier 40 March
27th-30th and
will coincide
with The Armory
Show. In its
third year,
PULSE New York
will feature
works in all
media from over
70 established
and emerging
galleries.
Among the
artists to be
represented at
the Magnan
Projects booth
will be Gregory
Coates and Duke
Riley
This year, PULSE Miami (December 5 -
9, 2007), the pioneering fair of the Wynwood District, moved from the
tent it occupied for two years to the
recently renovated, 40,000 sq. ft. +
SOHO STUDIOS located just blocks away at
2136 NW 1st Avenue & NW 21st Street. The
new venue offered a spacious environment
for exhibitors and collectors and featured an outdoor lounge area, a VIP &
Exhibitor lounge, large scale
installations and a café. The fair represented about 70 galleries
invited by the PULSE Invitational
Committee.
Among this year's
highlights was the presentation of Duke
Riley's Voyage of the Acorn and a
Duke Riley limited edition silk screen
tote bag for their VIP guests.

Richard
Stewart,
a New York-based private dealer, was
operating the booth for New York's
Magnan Projects, and
remarked that many of the works were on
hold. "I think people are taking their
time and really looking at things this
year," he says. "It's less frantic, you
can actually communicate with the
collectors."
